Low-Pressure Molding

Low-Pressure Molding Henkel's TECHNOMELT® Low-Pressure Molding materials are a single-material solution that provides a simplified, cost-effective alternative to multi-step, multi-material PCB shielding methods. In a three-step process where parts are placed in the mold set, molded and tested, low-pressure molding eliminates two-part material mixing routines, part preparation (masking), long cure times and material waste.

In addition, these reworkable thermoplastics provide excellent device protection against temperature, vibration, shock, moisture, chemicals and mechanical stress. Sustainable and cost-effective low-pressure molding with TECHNOMELT has been shown to reduce PCB protection costs by up to 30% compared to encapsulation, conformal coating and sealing methods.
